Gary Roberts and Andy provided training and nutrition wisdom to over 200 athletes and their parents and coaches on October 27, 2009 at the DPC. Gary, one of the NHL's true warriors, and Andy teamed up years ago to form a great friendship based on mutual respect and admiration - both are ardent advocates for healthy lifestyles, proper diet and nutrition and fitness training the right way!
Gary is a former Calgary Flames first round draft pick, 50 goal scorer and Stanley Cup Champion. In his 21 year NHL career, he overcame much adversity, including a serious neck injury in 1994 that temporarily ended his career. He has an unparalleled reputation in hockey for his dedication of fitness, nutrition, mental toughness, and preparation for the game. Because of his dedication to off-ice preparation, Gary was able to continue playing well into his 40’s, and served as one of the National Hockey League’s most sought after veterans for mentoring young franchise players.
