2012 ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team Features 2 Edge Alumni

The ECAC Hockey league released its annual All-Academic Team that featured 2 Edge hockey Alumni, Shawn Stuart and Eric Kroshus.

The list was comprised of 208 student-athletes who play in Div 1 NCAA Hockey and were named to the 2011-12 ECAC Hockey All-Academic team. Players were eligible for the All-Academic team if they earned a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale or had a GPA over 3.00 over the past three semesters.

Kroshus has excelled in high levels during his career at Harvard both in the classroom and on the ice. For the 4^th consecutive year, this Edge Alumni of 2007 showcased his leadership as a Forward on the ice while achieving academic honors majoring in neurobiology.

Also a 2007 graduate of Edge, Shawn Stuart is now a Defenseman for Union College. In addition to making the ECAC All-Academic Team, Shawn also earned the Scott Richardson Unsung Hero Award at Union’s 2012 annual banquet recognizing Shawn as one of Union's top defenseman playing in all 41 games.
