Fort McMurray accepting Grade 4-6 applications
GRADE 4-6 APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED IMMEDIATELY – 25 STUDENT TARGET TO ALLOW PROGAM TO GO AHEAD.
Effective IMMEDIATELY we are accepting full applications for a Grades 4-6 hockey program at the Edge School Skill Academy Fort McMurray. The school will start operating in Fall 2011 with a Hockey Program for Grades 7-12 and based on local interest, is willing to consider expanding this. A target of 25 student-athletes in a combination of Grade 4, 5 and 6 are needed to allow the program to operate for these younger grades. This target of 25 elementary student-athletes is a part of an overall target of 60 students in conjunction with the junior high dance and hockey programs.
Edge School founder Brent Devost comments, "On June 24thwe will review the number of qualified applicants to assess our go forward plan. There has been very positive feedback and interest for the program overall and we hope to be able to start the year with all grades offered. I look forward to working together to bring Edge School to Ft. McMurray and making it the phenomenal program I know it can be in the community!"
The Grades 4-6 elementary Edge School Skill Academy program will be housed at École Dickinsfield. Those interested in the Grades 4-6 program should submit applications to Scott Barr or Stephanie at École McTavish Public Junior High School. Application forms are available at École McTavish Public Junior High School or can be downloaded off of the Edge School or École McTavish websites.
