Edge soccer program donate toys to Alberta Children's Hospital
On Decemeber 15, 2011, Samara Ramage (right, Gr. 8) and Jillian Carruthers (Gr. 10) went on a special "field trip". This pair of student-athletes in the Edge soccer program went to the Alberta Children’s Hospital to drop off the toys that were generously donated by families of the Edge Soccer Academy.
Organizers of the Alberta Children’s Hospital Share Christmas program Lorne Freno & Kathy were delighted to receive the items. The toy donations will be used to help fill hampers for families that do not get a direct sponsor at Christmas through the Share Christmas Program at the hospital. Lorne and Kathy thanked the Edge School Soccer Academy for the generous donations. They also sent a nice card which Samara will bring to school.
A huge thank you to all the Edge soccer program families who participated in this donation!
