Eddie Escobar

Eddie Escobar has been with Edge since 2006 bringing many years of playing and coaching experience. Coach Escobar brings the right elements of passion, pride and purpose to the Edge Soccer program.

After honing his skills at the collegiate and pro levels in the US with the North American Soccer League, Eddie returned to Canada to pursue the many challenges and rewards that go with coaching and mentoring young soccer players. Coach Escobar is a former Alberta Provincial coach where he has won Gold with the U15 boys in 2007 and Bronze at National All-Stars with the U16 Girls in 2008. Currently Coach Escobar is also the Boys Technical Director at Chinook Soccer Club and holds over 15 years of coaching experience with an “NSCAA National Instructor” License.

Eddie has also been an asset as a coach and technical instructor with Cochrane Minor Soccer and Calgary Foothills Soccer Club. He has also coached the St. Mary’s University College men’s Futsal squad.

Eddie holds a BSc from Lincoln Memorial University.
