*The Edge Ringette program must have 10 student-athletes committed to Edge School by March15th, 2013 for the program to run.

Recently, we have heard from Ringette players across Calgary who are passionate student-athletes eager to receive Ringette skill development during their school day.

Under the guidance of the National Ringette School Director and professional Ringette coach, Danielle Hargreaves, players will work on skating techniques, effectively dominating the ring, passing, scoring, and stonewalling forwards during school hours.

The Ringette Skill Academy is currently open to applications from student-athletes Grades 9-12.  Student-athletes will need to submit an application by March15^th, 2013. Start the application process here now!

The Ringette SKILL ACADEMY will consist of:

• - 3 on-ice training sessions per week (aprox. 8hrs/week)
• - 2 Dry-land Ringette-specific Strength and Conditioning sessions at the Duckett Performance Centre per week
• - Concurrently, student-athletes will be working towards attaining their high school diploma in our University prepatory program
• - Full access to on-site health services

In-house HEALTH SERVICES* include:

• - Sport counselling with renowned mental training coach Dr. Matt Brown
• - Sport therapy and athletic therapy services
• - Nutrition counselling and in-house nutritional options- to reinforce the nutritional principles taught in high performance training
