Phone: 403-246-6432 ext:450 Ross McCain, BScK, PTC Ross McCain is the Head Coach of the Edge Boys Midget AA Gold team for 2011-12. Ross first started his Edge coaching career as the Associate Coach of the Edge Boy's Prep Team in 2010-11, helping to lead them to championships in both the CSSHL and the MPHL. Ross will continue his involvement with the Boy's Prep team as their Strength and Conditioning Coach for 2011-12. Ross started working at the Duckett Performance Centre within Edge School in October 2009 where he is now the Assistant Director of High Performance at the Centre. For the past 6 years Ross has been training elite hockey players at the Major Junior, European professional, and NHL level. Ross McCain has a unique skill set, having played hockey professionally and possessing his Bachelor of Science (Kinesiology) degree he earned while playing hockey with the Tigers at Dalhousie University. Ross' experience of playing hockey at the University and Professional level in Europe helps him understand the mental and physical duress elite athletes endure on a day-to-day basis. Ross' passion for strength and conditioning developed at a young age. He began forming his training style while training himself, using various different influences. Ross began training athletes and teams while attending Dalhousie University and upon graduation, began his own business training many clients. |
