Maren Reinbold rides strong at Spruce Meadows Oktoberfest

Maren Reinbold, Edge Flex Academy Grade 12 student, recently competed in the Spruce Meadows Okotoberfest on October 27-30, 2011. Riding Accordance for all these events, she had a very strong showing with the following results:

7th - Thompson Family Welcome 1.20m
16th - Thompson Family Welcome 1.30m
7th - Valley Hay Cup 1.20m where she had the fastest time, but got the last rail down --- truly a heartbreaker!!!
1st - Fugro Mini Grand Prix 1.20m
7th - Van Wielengen Cup 1.30m

Western Canada Summer Games 2011

Congratulations to Edge Flex Academy student Alex Berdnikoff on his performance at the Western Canada Summer Games. Alex Berdnikoff (Grade 11), Tennis came home with Bronze medals for Tennis Mens Doubles and the Tennis Team event.

Good luck to Alexander Bernkoff (Grade 11) who has made the cut for the Main Draw of the Canadian Saville International Tennis Federation (ITF) Tournament for U18s starting July 5 in Edmonton, AB. Alexander is currently playing in the Junior Champs Outdoor Provincial Championships at the Red Deer Tennis Club. Results on this tournament, when available can be viewed here.

Berdnikoff tenacity pays off with 2nd in major Alberta tournament

Edge Flex Academy student Alexander Berdnikoff was runner up in The Racquet Central / Prince Open Men's 5.0 Tennis Tournament for Singles and in Doubles with his partner, Sidney Yap, at the Calgary Tennis Club May 26-30. Alexander showcased his fitness level and tenacity on May 29, playing five consecutive matches from 9am to 7:30 pm. The Singles Final was played on May 30. Congratulations to Alexander!

Alexander is currently 4th in the Tennis Alberta U16 rankings, 9th in the U18 rankings, and in the top 10% nationally for his age group.
