The Edge School Skill Academy North Dance Program, begun in September 2010, offers superior technical training and exposure to world class dance artists - the key to giving our dancers “the edge”. The program is designed to offer a complete dance education. Our faculty is committed to unleashing your potential as a dancer, student and community member. We are grateful to those pioneers who changed schools to take advantage of such an outstanding dance opportunity in your community.
Assessment are conducted in the first few weeks of the program for each student. They provide us with valuable information allowing us to prepare for the dancers’ personal training program and goals for the season. The assessments include a review of alignment, strength, flexibility, allegro, turns, musicality, versatility and performance.Measurements are taken of student flexibility, turnout, feet, spine, hip placement and eye line, so they may track their own personal development over the school year.
We are excited to welcome all our students into our newly renovated dance studio at Alexander Forbes. In the Summer/Fall 2010, the studio received new professional Roscoe dance flooring, mirrors and barres.

The Edge School Grande Prairie Dance Program has an expanding list of potential University programs, auditions, and grants that we utilize to help our students achieve their goals in dance after high school. We are excited to offer guidance to our dancers as they embark on this exciting path.
The Edge Dance Program offers a workshop-based travel experience which is open to all company members. The purpose of this program is to expose the students to teachers, choreographers and dancers locally and abroad. Travel experiences and workshops will be scheduled between October and February so as to avoid conflicts with other dance commitments such as festivals and recitals.
This program is optional and costs in respect of the program will be in addition to tuition. Additional information on the travel program will be available soon.
