An Edge Education prepares the dedicated student-athlete for success now and in their future endeavours. Applications for the following school year are available annually in January/February. If you wish to be notified when the packages become available, please contact our Director of Admissions here.
The Admissions Process commences with a tour - either through an Open House or by way of a personal tour - of our new Edge School & Jim Davidson Sports Complex. This 170,000 square foot facility on 35 acres of land includes extensive academic amenities and a state-of-the-art sports complex for Edge School students and community use. Completed in 2008, you will find well-equipped classrooms & labs, 2 arenas with NHL-sized ice sheets, a double gym, high-performance training centre, golf simulator, 2 dance studios, soccer/rugby field, sports medicine and physiotherapy area and hot meal full-service cafeteria.
If you are unable to attend an Edge School open house, please call us to arrange a personal tour and information session at school at your convenience. Contact our Director of Admissions at 403-246-6432 ext. 111 to book one today.
Once you make the decision to attend Edge School, the application process is as follows:
1 APPLICATION. Please complete this package in its entirety and submit to the school with appropriate deposits, fees and required documentation
2 ASSESSMENTS – Academic and Athletic. As a part of the academic assessment process, prospective students are currently asked to write the Canadian Cognitive Abilities Test (CCAT). Once your completed application is received, we will contact you to book a time to write this test on one of the designated assessment dates. The athletic assessment is conducted with one of our sport directors and includes an evaluation of your athletic abilities.
3 PERSONAL INTERVIEW. Students meeting entrance requirements will be contacted to schedule a personal interview with a member of our Admissions team. Parent(s) and the prospective student are interviewed.
4 ACCEPTANCE. Parents are notified by phone and in writing of acceptance. Upon acceptance, the fee deposit becomes non-refundable and the remaining tuition fees are due in accordance with the fee schedule. For those families applying for financial assistance, you will be notified beginning in March of the assistance amount, once existing families have qualified.
Registration is based on a rolling admission. The school establishes a waiting list once each grade is full. Parents will be notified by phone as soon as a space becomes available.
