CAUGHT YOU READING - Staff will reward students who read during lunch breaks. Three gift cards will be awarded each day and they will be presented at Town Hall, May 1 and May 8.

BOOK DRIVE - Share the Magic gives books to children in high needs and low income areas of Calgary. Share the Magic is seeking new or gently used preschool books that are appropriate for children from the ages of 2-5. We will have four collection boxes in the foyer, one for each Mountain Team! We will award Mountain Points based on the numbers of books collected.
POETRY WRITING CONTEST Students will be encouraged throughout the week to write and enter short poems (about 10 – 20 lines). The deadline is 3:15pm on Friday, May 3 for all entries. The Junior and Senior winners will each receive a $100.00 gift card!
PLEASANT POETRY PAUSES Edge Staff will "pop-in" to classes and read poems to Edge Student-Athletes.
SHERI-D, renowned poet and founder of the Calgary International Spoken Word Festival, will be working with ELA classes (Monday – Thursday) writing spoken word poems.

BOGGLE COMPETITIONS Julie and Edge staff will run the ultimate Boggle showdown in the cafeteria during lunch breaks on Thursday, May 2nd and Friday, May 3rd.
